Shard Pendant in Sterling Silver

A beautiful subtle yet eye catching pendant/charm, which sparkles with light from the many gleaming details and curves upon its faceted surfaces.

Made by first cold forging an ingot of sterling silver, before cutting and detailing the billet to achieve this detailed final form.
The shard then has a small hole carefully drilled to allow a jump ring to be welded in place for mounting.
The shard is then completed by selectively smoothing and rounding all the edges, along with the forge and cutting marks from the preceeding processes.
A final polish with the water burnishing technique then gives the peice a truly lustrous deep and glossy high shine finish.

This pendant is made entirely by hand in Cornwall England, using only traditional techniques.
No mass production methods (such as casting) are used. Each pendant is unique.
